60th Anniversary

Grandma and Grandpa Klein have been married for 60 years ... and that is something to celebrate.  So every one of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren made their way to the Klein farm for a weekend celebration.  The weekend was full of fun, food, laughing, catching up, and of course ... photos.

Being my own family's photographer can be described as beautiful chaos.  Getting 30 people (adults, children, and a baby) situated, quiet, paying attention, AND smiling WITH eyes open, was definitely somewhat of a challenge ... but somehow we managed to pull it off and we came away with some great family photos.

The most precious photo, and our family's unanimous favorite, is the tribute to Kenton with every single member of the family proudly wearing their "Team Kenton Cancer Awareness" t-shirts.  On January 26, 2011, Kenton lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 28.  Even though he wasn't able to be with us in person, he was there in our hearts and minds.  Kenton, you are missed, but we know we will see you again someday.

Those photos will forever be an excellent memory and reminder of what became of a love that began over 60 years ago.
