North Dakota State Fair

I absolutely LOVE the North Dakota State Fair!!! 4-H Exhibits, farm animals, commercial
buildings, the Pioneer Village, Tubby's lemonade and onion rings, deep fried candy bars
(aka "Heaven on a Stick"), caramel apples, funnel cakes, the midway, fair rides, the tractor shuttle, walking for hours around the fair ... the list goes on! But my all-time favorite thing about the
State Fair is photographing it ... especially at night. And, by far, the most interesting item to photograph would have to be the rides. It's just mind boggling to me how the camera picks
up the lights of the rides and the patterns of color that can be seen. Brilliant!

Children

Kids are so much fun to photograph. They're so animated! Whether they're
happy, sad, angry, confused, or concentrating, they always show exactly what they're
thinking or feeling. I love being able to capture those pure emotions in photos.

Pulse Concert 2009

In 2009, Pulse approached Minot State University's Campus Crusade for Christ group and
asked if we would consider organizing and leading a movement at the 4 Bears Casino & Lodge
in New Town. A small group of college students jumped at the opportunity,
took on the task, and set up a concert bringing in Disciple and Kutless.

Youth Quake 2009

Youth Quake is a Christian conference at Briarcrest college in Canada.
I attended Youth Quake while I was on staff with Minot Youth for Christ.
This year at Youth Quake, The Flying Wallendas were the opening act. We also celebrated
the last night of the conference with a concert including DownHere and Brit Nicole.

Model - Dan

When I was a college senior, I met this guy in photography class. After many late nights in the print room trying to finish photo assignments, we became pretty good friends. It was only natural that we would use each other as "models" for our portrait portfolio. A few months later, this guy became my boyfriend and a little under a year later, he became my husband.
